I am a 5th-year Electrical & Computer Engineering major at New York Institute of Technology Old Westbury! I joined NSBE freshmen year of college as the PCI chair at my chapter. Covid soon hit and all the high school connections I had made with neighboring schools fizzled as they tried to acclimate to the "new normal". Sophomore year was an online blur but once Junior year came, life became a little more in-person, and it was during this time I attended my first-ever leadership conference as Vice Chair of my chapter. That's when I decided to join the REB! NSBE has helped me to become more decisive, I've learned to make decisions that I would normally skate around. I'm still learning how to delegate properly and be more decisive, but NSBE is constantly forcing me to work to improve of these attributes, which I appreciate!
