I am a senior majoring in Civil Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology! I was first introduced to NSBE my freshman year of college through a mentor who suggested I join the organization! However, due to covid, the organization was not the same and I was not very active. I noticed that because of this inactivity there was no community for black engineers on my campus to have a safe space. Coming into my junior year I wanted to do all I can to create such a space and joined our chapter's E-board. NSBE has provided with plenty of networking opportunities as well as a place to be myself with people who look like me and I am honored to help others in any way I can!

Through NSBE, I've developed a strong network and honed leadership skills, which have opened doors to exciting opportunities in STEM. It's also given me a safe space to be my authentic self and provided a reliable support system. My NSBE journey has been a life-changing experience, equipping me with the skills, connections, and confidence to make a lasting impact in the world of STEM.

I am a junior studying Electrical Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT)! My NSBE journey began during my sophmore year in college. I've noticed that it was a welcoming area for students like myself, and I am so glad I made that initial step in joining NSBE. NSBE has helped me in many ways. I have been able to develop my leadership, networking, and professional skills through growing with NSBE during my undergraduate career. The many opportunities that have come my way are also a representation of how NSBE has helped me. I appreciate this organization so much.
